I don’t know about you, but for me, my morning cup of joe is the most important part of my day! It just seems to give me the kick in the pants I need to get my day going. Well not only does it give you a nice energy boost when you drink it, but coffee also boasts some amazing benefits for your skin! Some of the skin benefits of coffee the reduction in the of cellulite, stretch marks, scars, psoriasis, acne, and dry skin.

Coffee is the same ph as your skin, so it does not dry or damage the skin, it can actually help keep it moisturized because of this. The caffeine in coffee stimulates blood flow thereby aiding in collagen production (which is responsible for the smooth plump skin of our youth). The increase in blood flow and constriction of blood vessels also decreases the appearance of dark under eye circles. It is also high in antioxidants that help reverse UV damage caused by the sun. Coffee is also high in Niacin which helps your skin fight off skin cancer! Caffeine draws water out of fat cells which reduces the appearance of cellulite.

Because caffeine in coffee increases blood flow by constricting blood vessels, it also helps sooth inflamed skin. This is helpful for reducing the size of bumps caused by acne or eczema. It has also shown some promise in helping those with psoriasis. This also helps reduce redness and discoloration caused by rosacea.

So there you have it. The reasons to use coffee on your skin, even if you don’t like to drink it! Drinking coffee does give you a good dose of antioxidants which work from the inside out on repairing your skin, so that’s a bonus!
